It probably goes without saying that one of the most daunting parts of international adoption is the cost. We are estimating it will cost us around $35,000 to bring Kameron home. You can get a better idea of where all this money is going here:
- Home-study- $4,000
- Adoption Agency- $11,000
- Licensing Fees-$2,500
- Lawyer Fees- (US lawyer $4,500, Congolese Lawyer $4,000)
- Travel- $10,000- (Travel includes our plane tickets, hers, cost of staying at hotel for 2 weeks and food.)
****Mwana Villages receives ZERO compensation whatsoever for her adoption. ****
We have already put in over $10,000 of our money to get this process started. We are trying to make sure we are as financially prepared to bring her home as we can be. Kameron will need surgery and therapies quickly after she arrives home, so we are preparing for all her future medical costs. We will eventually have to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle. We will most likely have to move into wheelchair accessible housing in order to accommodate Kameron.
We are doing several different fundraisers to help offset some of the costs. Fundraisers you can be involved in:

We’d like to mention in advance that we love and appreciate all the support SO MUCH! We can’t wait to tell Kameron someday about how many people helped bring her home and wanted to be involved!
